3. Quotations and Written Agreements Control

Website content does not constitute a binding quotation or offer unless explicitly stated otherwise.

For customer projects, the controlling documents may include:

• Work authorization

• Customer-approved specifications

If a conflict exists between these Terms and a written quotation, proposal, invoice, work order, or other project-specific agreement accepted by Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks, the project-specific written agreement will control with respect to that project.

4. Estimates and Pricing

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, estimates are based on information available when the estimate is prepared.

Pricing may change if:

• Vehicle specifications differ from information provided

• Undisclosed damage or modifications are discovered

• Chassis conditions require additional work

• Additional fabrication is necessary

• Parts or material costs change

• Freight changes

• Equipment availability changes

• Customer specifications change

• Additional labor is requested or required

• Engineering requirements require modification of the proposed design

Any price displayed on a website scheduling or appointment page should not be interpreted as the complete price of an upfit, installation, repair, truck body, fabrication project, or other service unless the page expressly states that it represents the full project price.

​

An online booking amount may represent an appointment fee, inspection charge, diagnostic fee, reservation amount, or deposit depending on the service selected.

​

5. Deposits

Certain custom work, fabrication, equipment orders, and installations may require a deposit.

​

Deposits may be required before:

• Ordering equipment

• Purchasing materials

• Beginning fabrication

• Reserving production capacity

• Scheduling installation

Deposit terms will be identified in the applicable quotation, invoice, or work authorization.

​

Because custom equipment and fabricated components may be ordered or manufactured specifically for a customer's project, deposits may become non-refundable once materials are purchased, equipment is ordered, or fabrication begins, subject to the terms of the applicable written agreement.

6. Customer-Supplied Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information concerning their truck, chassis, application, and requested equipment.

This may include:

• VIN

• Year

• Make

• Model

• Wheelbase

• Cab-to-axle measurement

• Frame dimensions

• GVWR

• GAWR

• Axle capacities

• Suspension configuration

• PTO provisions

• Transmission information

• Intended payload

• Intended application

• Equipment specifications

Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks may rely on information provided by the customer, vehicle dealer, chassis manufacturer, equipment manufacturer, or other third party when preparing specifications and quotations.

​

Additional costs or delays resulting from incorrect or incomplete customer-supplied information may be charged to the customer.

​

7. Vehicle Suitability and Inspection

Acceptance of a project is subject to inspection of the vehicle or equipment where appropriate.

​

A preliminary quotation based on photographs, specifications, VIN information, drawings, or customer descriptions may need to be revised after physical inspection.

​

Examples of conditions that may result in additional work include:

• Frame damage

• Corrosion

• Prior welding or frame alterations

• Damaged wiring

• Hydraulic problems

• Suspension problems

• Air-system problems

• PTO or transmission incompatibility

• Improper prior installations

• Missing components

• Undisclosed chassis modifications

• Structural damage

• Other preexisting conditions

Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks is not responsible for preexisting defects or conditions that are unrelated to our work.

 

8. Custom Fabrication

Many of our products and services involve custom fabrication.

​

Minor dimensional or cosmetic variations may occur as a normal result of fabrication, welding, material tolerances, chassis variations, or equipment-manufacturer tolerances.

​

Unless a specific dimension or specification is expressly identified as critical and approved in writing, reasonable manufacturing tolerances will apply.

​

9. Change Orders

Changes requested after a project has been quoted, approved, ordered, scheduled, or started may result in additional charges or changes to the completion schedule.

​

Changes may include:

• Different equipment

• Different body dimensions

• Additional accessories

• Different hydraulic components

• Electrical modifications

• Frame modifications

• Additional paint work

• Added fabrication

• Equipment relocation

• Customer-requested design changes

Material or labor already incurred before a change is requested may remain chargeable.

10. GVWR, GAWR, Payload and Weight Distribution

Vocational-truck upfitting can affect vehicle weight, payload, center of gravity, axle loading, handling, and available carrying capacity.

​

Final legal payload depends on factors including:

• Chassis curb weight

• Completed vehicle weight

• GVWR

• Front GAWR

• Rear GAWR

• Axle configuration

• Wheelbase

• Body weight

• Equipment weight

• Fuel

• Driver and passengers

• Tools

• Accessories

• Cargo placement

• Applicable federal, state, and local laws

No statement concerning body capacity, hoist capacity, hydraulic capacity, theoretical payload, cubic-yard capacity, or structural capacity should be interpreted as authorization to exceed the vehicle manufacturer's GVWR, GAWR, tire ratings, suspension ratings, or applicable legal weight limits.

​

The vehicle operator and owner remain responsible for legally and safely loading and operating the completed vehicle.

​

11. Customer-Directed Chassis Modifications

When a customer requests chassis modifications, axle relocation, wheelbase changes, frame modifications, suspension work, or other structural changes, the work will be performed according to the approved project scope.

Customer-requested modifications remain subject to:

• Chassis-manufacturer requirements

• Equipment-manufacturer requirements

• Applicable regulations

• Engineering limitations

• Physical compatibility

Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks reserves the right to decline a requested modification if we believe it cannot be performed safely or appropriately.

12. Third-Party Equipment

Many installations incorporate products manufactured by third parties, including:

• Hoists

• Hydraulic cylinders

• PTOs

• Pumps

• Valves

• Tarp systems

• Cranes

• Lighting

• Controls

• Hydraulic tanks

• Toolboxes

• Trailer equipment

• Truck bodies

• Accessories

Third-party products may be subject to the original manufacturer's warranty, installation instructions, limitations, and operating requirements.

​

Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks does not independently manufacture every component installed on a customer's truck.

Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the applicable manufacturer's terms.

13. Product and Equipment Availability

Equipment, materials, components, and accessories may become unavailable, discontinued, backordered, or subject to extended manufacturer lead times.

​

When necessary, Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks may recommend an equivalent or alternative component.

​

Any material change affecting price or the material specifications of the project will be communicated to the customer when appropriate.

​

14. Completion Dates

Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed to in writing.

​

Project schedules may be affected by circumstances including:

• Parts availability

• Supplier delays

• Freight delays

• Material shortages

• Customer-requested changes

• Additional repairs

• Manufacturer delays

• Weather

• Equipment failures

• Transportation delays

• Governmental requirements

• Events outside our reasonable control

Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks will make reasonable efforts to complete work within the projected schedule.

​

15. Customer Inspection and Acceptance

Customers should inspect completed work when the vehicle or equipment is delivered or picked up.

​

Any apparent concern should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.

​

Operation of the vehicle after delivery constitutes acceptance of the installation subject to any applicable written warranty rights.

​

16. Warranty

Warranty coverage, when provided, will be governed by the written warranty terms applicable to the project.

​

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable quotation or warranty documentation, warranty coverage generally applies to defects in workmanship performed directly by Diesel-Tech & Bodyworks.

​

Warranty coverage generally does not include:

• Normal wear

• Abuse

• Overloading

• Accidents

• Collision damage

• Operator misuse

• Improper maintenance

• Unauthorized modifications

• Customer-supplied equipment

• Preexisting vehicle conditions

• Damage caused by third-party equipment

• Damage caused by operating beyond manufacturer ratings

• Damage caused by failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions

Third-party components may be covered separately by their respective manufacturers.

17. Safe Operation

The customer, vehicle owner, and operator are responsible for safely operating and maintaining the vehicle and installed equipment.

Operators should follow applicable operating instructions for equipment including:

• Hoists

• Dump bodies

• Hydraulic systems

• PTOs

• Cranes

• Grapples

• Roll-off systems

• Hook-lift systems

• Tarps

• Tailgates

• Trailer connections

Personnel should remain clear of moving equipment and pinch points and should follow all warnings and safety labels.

​

18. Website Photographs and Completed Projects

Photographs shown on our website may depict previously completed customer vehicles or representative equipment configurations.

Unless otherwise stated, photographs do not represent an offer to sell the exact vehicle, body, or equipment configuration shown.

Colors, dimensions, components, and accessories may vary.

19. Intellectual Property
